This week has been a doozy at work–on Tuesday I had an event in the afternoon for my full-time job followed immediately by an evening event at one of my part time jobs, all organized by yours truly. With last-minute projects and “urgent” requests popping up out of nowhere, I’ve had little time to think let alone plan. But the silver lining in all of this is that OGB is still trucking along quite nicely:
- Yesterday I created and mailed holiday cards to a variety of city organizations including the food banks, Boys & Girls Clubs, MSPCA, homeless & women’s shelters, and other non-profit organizations that make a difference in my community. Essentially, these cards were an anonymous way to thank the people that keep those programs running for all of their hard work and dedication.
- Today I will be walking around my neighborhoods (work and home) to deliver cookies (store-bought from a local candy house—wasn’t sure people would accept homemade from a stranger) to the local police departments, fire departments, post offices, and banks. Ideally, more of the cookies will end up in the hands of those who help make my life a lot safer and easier–instead of in my stomach (I’m a shameless “taste-tester!!”).
